If Obama had paid off a porn star !!!!

The issue is not economic policy it is that mans total unsuitability to be President, as many papers in USA said last year " he is not fit to clean the toilets at the White house " Trump is Morally bankrupt and he is dragging America down to his level .
If you want to use Trump as your baseline for politicians, you can. I'd just expect more out of politicians.

You won't get any arguement from me about Trump being unfit to be president. Trump lies because he is narcissitic and arrogant, on top of lying in the way normal politicians. So yes, he lies a lot more.

AOC gets stuff wrong all the time because she either doesn't know or doesn't understand what she is talking about. How somebody with a college degree in 'international relations and economics' comes out with some of the stuff she says is absolutely beyond me. The course must have been very light on economics, or basic maths.

Not having a go or trying to start trouble but I don't understand the love of the left in British and American politics while the principles here are meet with scorn.
I'm proud to say I didn't pay my water charges.

The Brexit and Trump bashers weren't with me then.

They are two completely separate things.

AOC has made some gaffs but has admirably adjusted keel accordingly.
Her policy proposals might seem a little naive to anyone drunk on the corporate kool-aid but they are based on sound principles and are not as pie-in-the-sky as the corporate media would have you believe.
If you have some links to anything AOC has said that approaches the Sarah Palin singularity of retardation then post here as I'm always interested to read more on her and would rather be proven wrong than fall for another shitbird conman like I did for Obama. The best that MSM have been able to do so far is a video of her from her college days dancing on a roof. The horror!!!!

Until then, my face remains her throne.

Okay I'll play. I think twice she has reached the lofty Sarah Palin heights of retardedness.

First was 'the world is going to end in 12 years unless we address climate change'.

    https://www.washingtonpost.com/opini...=.5e682e3ebac2

A link to an article and there are many more like it in a nutshell saying 'what she meant was'. I doubt if Palin had said something so stupid she'd be given as much benefit of the doubt. (FYI I'm no Palin fan, she was an absolute idiot, just be clear).

Second was the FAQ sheet her team put on her website (draft form, or by accident, I don't care) in relation to her Green New Deal, in which it says in a nutshell we have to tackle the problem of cows farting.

    https://www.cnbc.com/2019/02/07/alex...s-for-now.html

I mean come on, can you imagine Sarah Palin had said we need to tackle the problem of farting cows. Every single late night show host in the States (Kimmel, Fallon, Colbert and all them) would have had an absolute field day.

I think twice now, she has shown a nearly terrifyingly bad understanding of basic economics.

First one being the big one I think we all know she made around the 21 trillion pentagon accounting errors

    https://www.washingtonpost.com/polit...=.a999b886b3d1

The second was when she said 'if we want to take that 3 billion dollars that we were willing to give to Amazon and invest it in our local community, we can do that' referring to the tax cut Amazon was going to receive for setting up in New York.

    https://nypost.com/2019/02/16/aoc-is...low-democrats/ (6th paragraph down)

And then finally there is her Twitter account, where there are gaffs a plenty

The two I'd highlight are the Jussie Smollett tweet 'This attack was not “possibly” homophobic. It was a racist and homophobic attack.'

And more recently she tried to 'dunk' on Senator John Cornyn as the kids say, while he was 'dunking' on the democratic socialists, but the Mussolini qoute went right over her head.

I actually feel sorry for her. The left wing media push her as the fresh new face and I personally think they handle her with kid gloves and mollycoddle her. That mollycoddling, plus the above, drive the right wing media nuts. But right wing media then do themselves no favours by obsessing about everything else about her (her clothes, her apartment, her boyfriend etc). The left trying to build her up and the right trying to take her down, and she's kind of caught in the middle of this circus around her. She's actually handling it pretty well to be fair.

    That's too funny.

She's right on climate change though, as she also is on the Amazon New York bidding failure.
Maybe not so right on that 3 billion dollars that Bezos was asking the American tax payer to cough up for the privilege of exploiting their workforce but she's definitely on point.
Same with the magic $21 trillion pentagon figure.

Did she tweet that Jussie Smollet tweet before or after it was revealed that he set the whole thing up because he's a disgusting piece of shit and that's how he roll?

As for the Mussolini tweet its hard to tell with most republicans these days, I can't fault her for thinking the worst on that one. Can you?
It's a cringy tweet though ... calm the fuck down AOC
Yea, the Smollett tweet was before the story officially turned, but both the tweets are part of the larger problem ith twitter itslef, and the rush to be first with a story and an opinion and condemn. Everybody who engages regularly in the twitter world end up wrong on things a lot

I am glad you have clarified your position on Trump , no need to educate me with regards to him, I was posting my accurate concerns many months before he got elected.
Nor do I use him as a baseline , he got elected we have to deal with it

As to AOC , faults yes but if you watched this hearing she in context of those around her she looked in a class of her own , I mean the Rep guy "Pants on fire " with poster behind him of that FFS or the other idiot going all John Wayne, I arrest people like you, then claiming he did not know who Cohen was before the day of the hearing , pathetic and some Dems just as bad

AOC not perfect but at least she is not a serious threat to democracy in USA she does not call the press the enemy of the people she does not incite violence she does not try to bend DOJ from impartial to his personal lap dog . Anyone who exposes trump and increases the chance of exposing him for what he is, they are going to be getting my support

My point she got to facts she went after potentially provable tax fraud and directed questions that may just nail trump , not propaganda or Moral outrage , like I said good thing she was there .

I don't mind the water charges, though I did mind paying twice for them.

However it's the property tax that is going to royally screw people over in the coming years, and I can't understand how people thought water charges were the final straw by comparison.
