John Oliver is phenomenal at explaining politics in a way that people can understand. No twisting of facts, no misunderstandings. Just "this is how it works, this is what is happening". Love watching his stuff!

When it comes to Brexit I think he hit the nail on the head when he said "Britain is basically Pompeii if Pompeii had voted for the volcano".

I think they are getting it just now, not hearing that Power ballad that had Brexiters climaxing all over the joint

NO DEAL IS BETTER THAN A BAD DEAL

not hearing that at all anymore , they be getting it me thinks .
And yes I agree Mr Oliver is a modern Oracle ( see what I did there )

EU officials are at the behest of 27 countries , Riots in the streets , in Ireland is it really that bad are we that oppressed ? Let me ask you this would you prefer if we were totally dependent on the UK instead ? as some UK "well informed " have suggested.

The EU is not some dark plan , of course it will attempt to expand . My view it will end up being 2/3 tiers of membership rather than current all in one. A united Europe is essential especially in the face of American self interest . Trump would like nothing better than to break up the EU , then he could bully like nobody's business nation by nation.
Finally how did so called Socialism get going in Germany in 1932 , The national socialist Party, IDF favorite boy band , lets not have history repeating itself

Riots because of what a few immagrants !! Like the Irish can complain about migration you know like !!!
I don't speak for all brexiteers. Common sense has to come in to play. Certain elements of the press targeting Eastern Europeans don't speak for all brexiteers either.

I'm not moving goalposts. If the French have asylum seekers or refugees they either provide for them or deport. Looking the other way and hoping they can sneak into Britain just is not acceptable.
This has been the root of the bitterness in Britain for some time.

Yes. There may be riots in Ireland if the carbon taxes are anything like what happened in France. Most people will be spending the majority of their incomes on it.
Only the wealthy will welcome them as a solution to global warming.

Ignoring votes and sending people back to make the choice the EU wants may be a factor in play in civil disobedience.

    UK's problems (NHS/lower average wages/less police/more homelessness) didn't stem from the EU
    It stemmed from the Tories
They just had to find someone else to blame

And now they're fucking that up too

lets Agree to agree and disagree as it were. The EU needs reforming its far from perfect , but not via Nationalistic Xenophobia

The decision to leave was led by lies , if you ask farmers now they not leaving, told at the time it will be so easy you will have no EU regs and no worries on trade deal !!!
Wales would vote against now, the decision made and the journey that decision has had to take as in reality not rhetoric might have a more educated /realistic value if another vote taken . The lies told cannot be told again. 350 million a week to the NHS yeah right .
I see the confidential guidance to UK cabinet published , that is the reality versus ideology.
I saw Heseltine v Kate Howie last night. He is a hugely successful business man with a business worth hundreds of millions that he built up and Politician with actual business experience, she has a mantra an ideology with no foundations a joke she was.

The rhetoric of Dominic Rabb and others is a jingoistic disgrace, The EU is simply applying its rules to non members, but he and others call it arrogance, bullying, intimidation , absolute nonsense but toxic nonsense .

as other poster have said much of UK ills/difficulties nought or v little to do with the EU

Vote again on informed choice I say .

A no deal brexit will not happen, they wont let it,
there would not be riots in Ireland worth talking about as the Southern Irish don't do riots

many Protestant farmers did vote to leave but money made them ponder if they made the right decision, Northern Ireland was getting a special deal that lft farmers and other businesses safe but the DUP rejected it.
A no deal brexit will not happen

I agree delay without a productive reason is going to make this worse. Brexit is paralyzing the UK , Ireland and in many ways Europe as a side effect , and yet a longer period of uncertainty. Simples says T May , tell me about it
