Default Advice if stopped by guards

Would it not be EI’s interest to engage a solicitor or barrister or expert in the field ,to give us punters a guide of what to say or more importantly what not to say if we are approached by an Garda, similar to the guide for newbies .
I think it might ease people’s minds and let things get back to normal ,

Great idea, could make it available on request by PM if they wanted to keep it discreet & out of the public forums

There are Solicitors and barristers who specialize in certain fields . Eg. drunk driving , domestics etc
A little advice from someone like him with a contact number might be an idea.

I think one important bit of advice would be not to have anything important, that cannot be cancelled, to do after your appointment like return to work, catch a flight or pick up the kids. There is a limit to the length of time the Gardai can hold you without charging you with a offence and if they don't get enough evidence to charge you, they have to release you. Don't be afraid to ask them if you are actually under arrest, if they say no you can walk away.

So I packed up all her clothes
    And left.

Be one of the twenty who kept quiet and walked away.

Not the one who talked and was prosecuted.

I hope the sunday rag paid at least enough for that interview, to cover the punt and the fine.

The government has decided to make us all criminals and now we are sharing info that every politician and good criminal knows. Don't incriminate yourself.
