Okay. I am going to break personal rule #1 and post on a divisive thread.

Patsy, I think I recall the thread you are referring to, and while I did not comment at the time, it did give me pause for reflection.

Personally, I consider mental health, in general, to be quite a fragile thing. We Irish are particularly bad in admitting it, and even worse and dealing with it. When confronted by another person bearing the deepest darkest part of their soul, and the tone is something that we have never been given the tools to deal with on a personal level, nevermind to be there is help another, it is quite challenging on many levels.

I generally don't think about it, but one of the things I did consider when taking the decision this explore a certain aspect of my life, is that every encounter was not going to be wonderful and amazing, and that there was a chance that someone may open up and share with me something that is deeply hidden and considered shameful in our society. Even more than. Escorting......

I am fortunate that I have been given some tools for me to be able to cope if confronted with that situation. There are many free resources available. The Samaritans have great advice to give to people who find themselves in the situation of being the first person that someone asks for help. ASSIST is also another organisation that provides people with the tools to able to cope, and feel that they can be of genuine help.

I think you did the right thing in difficult circumstances, and you have had honourable intentions.

I may get a ban for this, but we should all consider each others mental health, and be ready to help if someone asks for it.

There have been threads on here about mental health both of escorts and clients. Nobody is stopping anyone from creating more threads about them, but the op here is just complaining because his silly poll was closed.

That's not really the case from the troll accounts or shit stirrers though. For them it's Christmas again.

Silly poll ? Thats very negative. I thought it was constructive and informative it just happened to highlight the fact that a handful of posters with an agenda use the report button as a weapon. It seems the closure of the original thread proves that fact unfortunately.

If there is to be criticism it has to be constructive criticism.
Any constructive criticism I have received whether it be in work related or otherwise has only ever been of benefit to me.
So some of us may not necessarily see this type of criticism as positive but I do.

Thats because your an adult. Pity there were not more adults around here. I think the poll stats speak for themselves. The public has spoken. Now to see if the mods accept their mistake and reopen the thread or just ban me to shut me up.

Your polls responses didn´t exactly cover many options other than those posting for being "petty" - Which is rarely the case.

There are those who report for genuine reasons, not just the reasons you added in. I'm not sure what reasons you had for starting the thread originally but it seemed like a knee-jerk reaction.

My experience is different very very different. I am of the opinion that a handful of childish posters with a similar MO have destroyed the forums from what they were three years ago, this is just my perspective though. Thanks
