Are you watching? If so, any thoughts on the game?

I feel the down system actually makes it more interesting. Every play counts, unlike soccer when the can drift.

As for the time, yes, don't expect to see me for dust on Monday!

I think the game would be more interesting, if they didn't stop the game so much, but what makes it worse, is how many frickin' adverts there are between each break.

I watched a game with 20 minutes of play left.
Those 20 minutes were the longest 20 minutes of my life, it lasted over 1 hour and a half, close to 2 hours.

Each play lasted a few seconds, then there was a swap in players and then there was adverts.
This repeated itself over and over again, dragging the game so much, I had no clue what was happening.

It could be a good game, but it's not, it's boring because of this going on.

I am not a big fan of rugby either, although i would much prefer to watch a rugby match than american football.

Do you actually understand why they are stopping though? Not playing you for an idiot, but the amount of people who moan but don't get what 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th down are amazes me

I'm definitely not a full expert on the game, however I do understand much of the play,
It is a good sport, but I just find it hard to watch due to so many breaks and team swapping.

The game is dragged out too long for me to enjoy, maybe due to having quite a short attention span.
Always have since a young kid, I can't sit still for long periods of time wherever I go.

Hey, that is a personality thing. I will say that if it is understood it can fly by, which was a danger for the amount I drank two weeks ago...never realised it mounted up.

Simply put, you get four goes to make a total of at least 10 yards by running or passing (you can throw it for 100 yards for a TD if you want, this is the minimum). You would start at 1st and 10 (1st go, or 'down') and 10 yards to go....if you moved the ball two yards, that would become 2nd and 8 (2nd down and 8 yards to go) If you the moved the ball 3 yards it would become 3rd and 5 (you get the idea) If you manage to get your yards, you go back to 1st and 10 and repeat. if you fail, on 4th down you can either go for it but risk handing the ball straight over to opposition if you fail, kick a field goal if in range, or punt the ball away to the other team for better field position.

This is what I mean, I don't give a shit if someone doesn't like the game or feel it takes up too much of their day, but every second of play matters, hence why i like it
