Nice one. The guards can actually take your car off you. It's called theft.

Local magistrate hardly likely to be impressed.

The guards usually are aware of their own lack of training and knowledge of the law. Often simple polite question, "What offence have I committed guard," will completely throw them and leave them realising they are in over their head and looking to abort the situation.
