Admit nothing in relation to paying for sex in any case seems to be the best advice

You should be very careful not to admit anything to the police in relation to any matter without due deliberation. Silence is by far the best option if you can in any way incriminate yourself.
If this report is true he probably hung himself with the admission. However, I am not at all certain that the cops will be unable to get convictions just because a person declines to comment.It will take a few years before test cases and challenges
determine the effectiveness or otherwise in terms of gaining convictions. Interesting times ahead, but be warned as this poor sod said "everything I have is under threat because of 20 minutes of stupidity"
