Maybe popular opinion is changing ??

There IS supposed to be a Three Year Review and Assessment coming up next year ..

: who will be the Justice Minister ? Who (anybody ?) will have the cojones to act ?
These things go in decades long cycles. Legal, illegal, legal. I would not be expecting change (unless something major happens) for a while.

    |Many years ago, before Escort Ireland was ever heard of, the only way to pick up a girl was on the street and go back to her appartment usually in Rathmines or similar places close to the city.
I did this once, and of course after a few minutes was stopped by An Garda. I told him that I was just giving her a lift to Rathmnies. She was taken out of my car and arrested. My name and address was also taken. I was also phone at work, by a very abusive garda who toldme that I was required as a witness to prove that said girl was a prostitute. I refused to go to court as I had not been served with a witness summons. I also made a complaint to the Harcourt Road garda station about the abusive language of the garda and his choice language, and that he had rung me several times at my place of work, which was very embarrassing at the time with phones with short cables attached.
Anyway, to make a long story short, at least a dozen names of men, and their addresses were published in the Evening Herald . Fortunattely my name was not mentioned as I had not turned up in court. The prostitutes were either fined £2 or given the probation act,,,,,,,,,,,,but the men really suffered.
I have not seen that ever happen since, but it makes me very wary. I reckon choosing older ladies is relatively safe

I’m reading this mornings newspaper and there’s four cases of rape , and grooming of young girls for sex in Ireland , yet the police and media are happy to vilify a 65 year old man who had consensual sex with a lady ( albeit for a fee) its like he is in the same category as these perverts , I hope he’s okay , I’m not sure I would be .

A nightmare scenario to find yourself in. I have to admit it shook me when I heard about it, I knew it would happen eventually but when you look at all the things that are wrong in this country it does seem to be a case of the law being there and the Guards having to act because of the strident voices on this topic. Visiting escorts always carried a risk but now the stakes are even higher. Some poor sod is going to get caught and will see suicide as the only way out.
Don't cry because it's over, smile because it happened

Probably the worst part is waiting for the court case, and then wondering who read the newspapers, and also those who did but said nothing......of course there are also all the relatives, both young and old.

TORL stands for Turn Off the Red Light .

It is the anti sex-workers Organisation .

They’re largely responsible for the Clause

    in the new law

that makes paying for sexual services illegal ,

thereby making criminals out of otherwise law abiding

upstanding male citizens of Ireland for the simple ‘sin’ of

availing of the services of consenting adult sex workers .

Largely backed by Ruhama , which organization is the new

reincarnation of the old Magdalene Laundry lot .

    Messy . Immoral .

Ruhama claims to help sex workers .

Nothing could be farther from the truth .
I do what I want. I cannot do otherwise.
