New Year!! Pets vs Firework

So guys,

We have come to the end of a another year.
For me, 2018 has not been so great and I have struggled quite a bit, and I assume for many, they have been in the rough themselves.

However, when it come to midnight and we enter 2019, we always have a display of fireworks to celebrate the New Year.
Please do remember that you our pets suffer from all the noise and can then become very anxious.

Many animals seems to be very sensitive when it comes to fireworks, but what do we do in a situation when the fireworks are blasting off?

As for Christmas, my dog was scared due to the fireworks going off all around the area and the only thing that I could do is to make sure the windows and doors were closed and talk to him calmly and cuddle him to make him feel good.
But at times, there isn't much I can do to distract him.

So what do we do when it come to make sure that our pets feel safe and secure?

REMEMBER!!!!

Always bring your little friend inside, but if you have a horse or an animal which is too big or for other reasons, then please make sure that they will be safe from any falling fireworks.
We may enjoy to fancy colours and the loud bangs, but animals really do suffer from it.
As for the small animals such as a rabbit or a guinea pig, they can easily die from shock, so they will need extra care and attention.

So please if you can, not to leave your pets outside, keep them inside where it is warm and safe for them.
They are not just a pet, but also family.

lost a 11 month old dog due to fireworks 3 years ago, was closed in kennel and died of fear, got it dead the next morning

Really sorry to hear about. Such a horrible and painful feeling to happen.
I have had dogs that have died, but always lived happy lives, but not once have I had a dog die in somebody's in care, so I can't imagine how it feels.

if fireworks close by we take them inside and let them stay, we do the same in heavy thunder too as thats even worse,
