Thank you one all for your replies especially those of you who shared some of your own wisdom and experience. I had a wonderful encounter and wanted to share it with people who hopefully would not judge me. I also enjoyed the process of writing and trying to put some structure on my thoughts to end up with something that would hopefully engage any readers.

It is an honest account but it is purely from my perspective. I am not so niave as to believe that from her perspective, it was a business transaction, however, I did enjoy an experience that could not have been possible without empathy and kindness on some level and for that I am grateful.

Being accused of being needy did initially sting a bit but perhaps that's because there is some truth in that. However, it seems to me that all punters are needy, some have purely physical needs, some perhaps purely emotional and no doubt many like me have both. I don't deny it or apologise for it.
