I'd seen a recent article and had an interesting conversation about this topic quite recently. There certainly are potentially terrifying implications for the future if this technology proliferates and becomes highly available. If videos can be faked so easily, and as they become both easier to produce and more difficult to spot, the things which they could be misused is virtually limitless...
