Going against my better judgement by getting involved here, but in answer to this..
The word 'hooker' is and has been a derogatory term for escorts and has been used to dehumanise them. This leads to an attitude where violence is excused and the escorts are seen as less than human. If an escort uses it it's her perogative to reclaim that word Much like the 'N' word and 'queer'. Words are important. They shape attitudes for good or for harm.
Now for goodness sake, someone put the kettle on and start treating eachother like civilised human beings. There's enough shit in the world and this community is marginallsed enough!
