Yes and no in my opinion. I don't think threads like that are "inappropriate" per say just in extremely bad taste. I read them think "yuck" and just log off as opposed to reporting them. I know I am not the only escort who does the same.

I think discussions around social stigma, sex work etc are important and have time for them. What I don't have time for is just the vile way some of these threads are posted in (their tones and connotations) but I don't see them as being worthy of deletion.

It's a hard balance between moderation and censorship. A job I do not envy.
