yes .Politicians are afraid of romanians working abroad because we can see and compare the difference between Romania and adopting countries and can see how corupt is the romanian system. If u go to a doctor in Romania and dont put in his back pocket money he will not look at you. Everywhere u go u have to give money unofficial to can get what u need doesnt matter u have the right to get u will not get if u not coming with money for the back pocket of the person who work in office. Police stop u on the street ask driving licence look this look there try to give u a fne , u give them money they give u papers back and say have a nice day good bye. Is doesn't matter u have the study according with the job. someone else with no study (but more money) will get the job and u with bachelor degree will get a job cleaner or....

If u go there i would say avoid as much u can the Victoria Square.. u can be caught in the middle of protestatars and beaten up by police for nothing. AT the revolution my father was just off hospital walking home and people start walking from streets to Government and gather everybody on the way :'' come with us'' '' come with us'' he was caught in the middle of people and walked along with them ... Funny but sad think in same time Romania i think was the only country who tried to make corruption legal by law, believe it or not

.. we chose our president etnic german because we thought he might be corruption free.. but he didn't do much for the good of the country.. Romanians who work abroad are around 4-5 millions so a big power and we are very unhappy what happen in Romania because we want to go back home to stay with our families not far from them but things dont get any better there. Prices same like here but wedges very very low , how can people can survive there i dont know...

What means heavy handed? Using to much force? No... is normal..in eastern european countries police is always like this sometimes beating people with no reason...they have power to establish the order so they do everything to put the order in place against noisy people. Is better to not have to deal with police in Romania, Hungary, Italy, Spain , Russia.. they can be very aggressive and u cant do nothing against them by law. Is not like here people sue each other very quick lol. I mean u can do this but u will not win. u jst waste your money and time. But in same time and people will beat police in this protests always is violence. One police girl 23 yo was beaten up ended in hospital and they stoled her gun. Police in Romania carry guns. real ones.

It's awful Cherry, I can't blame anybody for wanting to leave a place like that. When this behaviour is normal it takes a long time to remove every bad person from power. Your people have a big struggle ahead to get rid of corruption. I wish you all luck and peace xx
