That's not even remotely true.
There's roughly a hundred billion stars that are brighter than the Sun in this galaxy alone.
There's a star in a neighbouring cluster that burns ten million times brighter than our Sun.

To paraphrase Father Ted,the Sun is close ,those other stars are far away.
