and many others are confused by naïve, oops I mean native speakers here. The good news is, there are plenty of grammar nazis (and spelling nazis) here to keep everyone correct.

First and fourth. Twice I've had problems with this.
An escort directed me to the fourth door when I already knew there were only 3 doors there. Not wanting to visit the wrong apartment I insisted that she was making a mistake, I didn't get any sense out of her until I told her that I would approach the building from the other side. Then she was able to tell me that hers was the last door.
Another time an escort told me that she was on the first floor and it turned out that she was on the fourth.
I've also had difficulties with escorts mixing up their colours and directing me to the door, especially the lady whose door was different colours on each side.
