Ye are both right here I'd say.
It reminded me of a funny story I was told by one of our well known posters here, now retired. She was working a hotel in Waterford and got rumbled by staff.
They called the cops and gave them a screen shot of her profile on their arrival. The cops (3 of them FFS, 2 male and one female) went to the room, screen shot in hand, and very gently asked her to move on. As they escorted her past reception the girl said Wait!... she approached the receptionist and said "Well, if you are kicking me out I want my money back". The receptionist, not prepared for this, looked at the Gardai who shrugged and started to titter.... The escort was refunded.... hahahahahaha... As a matter of interest, one of the male guards gave her his card and offered her assistance if ever she needed it. They became friends afterwards... A happy ending
It really is down to hotel policy, but I would expect most would not call the guards but would rather deal with it themselves. I have heard of many stories of girls being asked to leave hotels by staff and only this one story of the cops being involved.
as a matter of interest, a friend of mine owns a hotel in Limerick. I was having a few pints with him and his senior staff one day and put out the question... "Do you think there are brassers in your hotel right now?"... I used the word brassers to feign ignorance of the game
"Probably" was the reply. "But if they do not make it obvious we really dont give a shit..." That was their policy anyway....
