Indeed and tar on the roads has been melting in places. A long time since I`ve seen that happening. Mind you the all time Irish record of 33.3c is still intact, for now anyway.

Not just the next week. According to a weather forum on another site that I am a member of, there will be little or no rain for at least the next two weeks and possibly longer. I`m old enough to remember the summer of 1976 when hardly any rain fell for two and a half months. This year could well be heading the same way.
