I'm voting no. I also voted no to the right to travel. Has anyone ever been arrested and charged for having an abortion.
If they do another referendum to deal with the so called "hard cases", I will almost certainly support that.

To anyone that doesn't like me here.
I hope you need to pee 3 times tonight, but that you only wake up twice.

I think the right to travel is enshrined in European law.

In 1992, women were officially given the right to travel abroad, mostly to the UK, to obtain terminations.

Has anyone been arrested or charged for the purchase of sex in Ireland? You cannot do that legally in Ireland, and you can't get an abortion legally either.

So people need to travel or take risks for either activity.

I can see both sides of the campaign. For me it is a potential life you're deciding to stop and there are the heart breaking stories of women going abroad to get abortions. Maybe it should be a choice for people to make individually.
I don't know which way to vote, to be honest.
Johndoe2. You just gave us your go to reason for voting no, that nobody called to your house, maybe they did and you werent in? I cant imagine why you would be happy to continue to ship women off to England at much risk to their health over allowing them access to abortion here. You don't like abortions, I get it, but why not help repeal this awful amendment and help women in dire need, eh?

Are there any circumstances where you think abortion would be justified?
