    Quote from article,

"It also fully decriminalised individuals in prostitution. It is still illegal for more than one woman to operate out of the same premises." Kinda contradicts itself.

"Buying sex has been illegal in Ireland for one year but 'very little' has changed" just about sums it up.

While there are women in Ireland who are working as independent escorts, there is a large element which is made up by human trafficking controlled by illegal pimps.

Very true statement but people still visit.

I've visited more and reviewed more. As before, I have stuck with girls who are well reviewed and appear to be independent, and it still feels equally safe.

Any squad of below average police could have a huge impact in no time if they wanted to. Clearly the powers that be are not putting a priority on it.

That article originally just had the first of those two sentences. I emailed the Journal after reading it and getting really annoyed at how inaccurate it was, but instead of changing or removing that sentence the hack who wrote it decided to add a second, contradictory sentence. The exact same thing happened back in November or December: the Journal ran an article that incorrectly said the new law fully decriminalized our work, I emailed to correct them on it, but they just made a self-contradictory fudge rather than properly fixing their mistake. I heard the same misinformation on the radio the other day as well.

Irish journalists can't seem to be bothered to research their stories properly, they just swallow the Ruhama press releases hook, line and sinker, no questions asked.
