    Cop One of those days

Went to see someone today and had the most bizarre day of it, got out of the car, walked around the side of the building and there was a Garda car there! Got totally freaked out, then, realised that they were inspecting a parked car as it was illegally parked, gave it 5 minutes and they left, went up into the apartment, we're having chat before things kick off and then, suddenly, an alarm goes off, not the smoke alarm either, so I'm sitting there thinking, sh*t, is that the burgler alarm from the cops breaking down the door, the girl I was seeing came back in and said that the building maintenance just knocked on the door, they were just testing out the alarms on that floor, nothing to worry about. So we have our meeting, a fine time is had by all, and I head off, out the front of the apartment building and there's 4 Gardai just standing there across the road outside the local shop, again, freaked out thinking all sorts when I notice that they all have rolls and a Garda van pulls up and they all hop in and head off. Go around back to the car, hop in, pulling on to the main road, knock on the window, guess who, another f-ing cop who was walking down the street, seems I had my headlights on full and she was kindly informing me of it. What a day.

The poor Gardai were cold, horny and hungry. You could have bribed them maybe with the promise of some grub.

Always give the impression that you know where you are going and what you are doing. Look confident. It is only when you don't look confident or seem not to know the other 2 that people may approach you. People are too busy with their own lives to really care about what you are doing.

Was in Amsterdam on a week long twister a few years back.
In tatters the morning of my departure. Super paranoid, jittery as fuck, and coming down in a bad way.
I could see by the faces of passers-by that it wasn't all in my head. Kept thinking I was gonna be stopped because I wasn't fit to travel ( )

The shakes and nerves didn't stop until I was on the plane. Not long now and I'll be home in bed for a few days sleep.
By the time I got to Cork airport I was on a rush of relief, kissing tarmac, chatting to customs, tipping the taxi driver.
That evening I went out with the buddies to recount my cultural experiences.
Sat at a table in the bar rooting through my pockets I pulled out a roll of E's and a bag of coke from the jacket I had been wearing all that day.

Sometimes we worry for all the wrong reasons.
