The 2019 championship starts today. Mayo travel to new york, will they be travelling to croke park on the first sunday in september ? Mayo 15/2 to win sam. Or will the dubs do the 5 in a row? No senior team has ever done it in the history of the gaa.

I don't know about Mayo reaching the final but the Dubs most certainly will. If they don't do the 5 in a row it would be an even greater shock than when Kerry were beaten by Offaly back in 1982. Actually Mayo had better not be too complacent today. New York came close to winning this first round match not too many years ago so it`s not beyond them to cause a huge upset.

I will take Waterford to beat Clare and the other match will be close. Cork may just shade it. Hopefully anyway.

The dog was the most entertaining thing in the first half. Monaghan came back rightly in the second half. I didn't see the penalty decision but supposedly the ref got it wrong.

The chaps on Sky Sports had a good old skit at the dog, pity the fuckers cant pronounce the names of the Irish counties.

Armagh get the better of down, just about. Geezers first ulster championship win.

But how did Geezer let this game go to extra time. 5 points up with an extra man and less than 5 minutes left in ordinary time. The Down goal was an example of how NOT to defend. Cavan are hardly shaking in their boots watching that.

It was a strange game barney, both teams seemed to have it won at different times. Armagh in normal time and down in extra time. I think the semi final with cavan is a 50-50 game.

I don't think it matters who wins that game, Tyrone or Donegal should have no bother beating either team. Well that's assuming that Donegal beat Fermanagh, Tyrone against Antrim is a formality.
