Kilkenny and Tipperary in the Division one League final?(to be played in Nowlan Park???)
Who could have seen that coming.
Limerick put up a good fight against Tipp in the semifinal.

Dublin take the Division 1 Football League final in Croagh Park yesterday.
Again who could have seen that coming?

So after the weather delays the national leagues are reaching their conclusions.

In hurling Tipperary and Kilkenny have come through to the Division 1 final to be played in Nowlan Park. Waterford are relegated to Division 1B. There was the first 65's competition in a national competition in the quarter final between Clare and Limerick. Managers will have positive and negative aspects to work on after the league.

In football Galway seemed to be a surprise package and put it up to Dublin for a long while in the Division 1 Final. Roscommon win a shoot out for the Division 2 title. Special mention to Carlow who have been promoted to Division 3. Another story is the fall of Derry from Division 1 to Division 4.

Hurling League Final yesterday. Kilkenny's second half performance proved decisive. Tipperary fall again in the league final for the second year in a row. They faded out in the second half.

Just over a month now to the start of the new hurling championship format.

    Championship time is here

    Hurling

Dublin V Kilkenny - Dublin at home will put up a fight however Kilkenny to pull through.

Offaly V Galway - Same as other match in Leinster. One thing I will say is that Offaly or Dublin I feel will beat 1 of the other 3. That would throw the cat amongst the pidgeons.

    Football

Will Galway beat Mayo the Saw Doctors sang. Mayo can produce big performances when needed with the exception of All Ireland Finals. Last year against Derry and Cork are examples of that. They probably cannot afford to go the qualifier route this year. Galway making steady progress over the last 2 years. Good all round team. Lee keegan a massive loss to Mayo.
I have a feeling that Mayo will win.

Will there be any drama in todays games like there was yesterday evening? Cork must be one of the most improved teams this year, they have beaten both mayo and roscommon and ran kerry to 2pts. But derry must be one of the most consistent teams. The dubs are the only team to beat them this year, that was the league final and to win back to back ulster finals is some achievement. I think another close game and i'll go for derry to win by 3pts.

Mayo v dublin, will this game take on a life of its own? Mayo have had a mixed championship, beaten by both roscommon and cork but beat kerry and galway. But they have had tough games. Exactly how good are the dubs? Its strange that they have only played one div one team this year. But are they a team that can just up their game when they have to? I'll go for mayo by one point.

I’d love to see a Mayo win, so hard to call , all about who turns up on the day .
Also the curse is over so maybe this will be their year.
It will be a massive achievement if Mayo win.
I think Derry by 3 or 4 points.
    Mayo to win AET .

It was funny, but a cheap shot by Tomas o Se that Tyrone must have been suffering from long Covid in second half yesterday evening.
    No Hawkeye available today either.
