Thread: Do Escorts actually use sex work lingo?

"The Game" is another one I've never heard from anyone involved with sex work, client or escort, but it pops up a lot with critics. A while ago there was this incredibly stupid play that was touring the country called 'The Game', I didn't see it, but, the idea was that there were some female actresses on stage and men in the audience were invited to come up and proposition them as they would an escort the prove some kind of point, although I doubt any real client would have gone up. A friend of mine told me about it and I looked it up, same thing, "tricks" and whatnot. It always hits me, when I see articles about sex work or when it appears in movies or whatever, how utterly unrealistic the general public perception of escorts and escorting is, and, how evil or seedy clients are always presented as being. It would be funny if it didn't have such awful legal consequences (like Ireland's new stupid sex law that helps nobody and does nothing). The twisted morality of the modern world, meet up with a professional adult to have a fun but respectful time = Bad, yet, go to any pub or club in Ireland at 2am and you see hundreds of drunk lonely men trying desperately to guilt or coerce (in one way or another) women into sex and nobody really cares that much about it. Obviously, I'm preaching to the converted here. The whole thing just irritates me occasionally.

In some places disappearing Christmas trees and ping pong balls being fired out of lady parts is kind of the norm. That’s what I’d call turning tricks Gotta love those ladies. They absolutely amaze me

He felt her hands slide slowly up his thigh, he couldn't stop himself from growing hard. She caught his eye and in that second he knew: This erotic, sensual Lady is bold if she is anything. She would be upto mischief in no time...

I did see this. I took a few street workers up to see it as well. The entire play was produced with the words of sex workers. It was interesting yet biased by the stories they chose to portray. There were guys from the audience included and it was very awkward but that was the point of that sketch. One of the street workers we took up fell asleep and the other one was only pleased to be out in Dublin for the night. We went out for dinner and such before the play.

'The Game' was based on Rachel Moran's book, some of the stories in her book have been challenged by friends she worked with at the time, apparently the content of her stories appears not to be 100% true. The production team & directors of the play, some of which were staunch feminists, were also biased in their opinion of sex work, their opinions influenced & tarnished the play. I know, I spoke to one of the producers & I went to see the play, it was uncomfortable, it didn't flow nor was it a true representation of the sex industry. It was not what I hoped it would be. It was a portrayal of the sex industry based on some untruths produced by some radical feminists.

I am happy to be able to say, the only terms ESCORT AND CLIENT , Intimate Services Provider and Client are the terms i have learned in my short time in this Life of Body Pleasuring. Most of the other terms are old STREET terms still being used by those who have different Agendas.

Thought you could be some sort of journalist or researcher with the constant questions you began with.

I was wondering, do escorts actually talk like that? I did ask one escort once but she said that she didn't really know many other escorts so, even though she never uses terms like that, others might. Popped into my head there.
As stated ,American terms,we mostly know them from TV/film.A few old posters here or there used to use the term "hooker ",in a semi-humourous fashion ,when posting.
" On the game"is probably British in origin.
Probably get a slap if you use them when talking to an escort here,or they'd be on to Google translate to know what you're saying.
