Default What advantage and disadvantage of been too nice in life

Been too nice to people can make you friends and enemy too........
As well as it drawback on been too nice......

As any business you work in you make friends and enemy as some people like you and other resent you.......

Example as two strangers walk into a bar at same time and both are drinking and Guys A is been nice and friendly conversation with locals as where ever Guys B is chatting also but he disagreeing with local on certain thing and getting aggressive as drink taking it toil on both guys.........
It easy to know which guy going to leave making friends and maybe pick up a Lady at end of night.........

As their is good genuine members and Escorts here who have let say not the easiest of time here......

But don't change and be who you are as been nice win more friends then been cold and nasty...........

And let the doubter in your life try to put you down but don't become a doormat and stand up for yourself and what you believe in.....

As these links are interesting read and know when to stand up for yourself in right time.........

I know that it has been said of me that nobody can be that nice all of the time and that I must have a dark side.

When women ask me for a favour they often have a button undone, they know I'm a sucker for some cleavage. Next time, no more Mr nice guy, I'm grabbing a handful.

Sorry to admit it but this made me laugh, on a more serious note its a wisdom all of its own to avoid being bitter , I see bitterness so warped into people that it disfigures their personality and even shows physically , well done you for learning without hating. Best revenge of all in its way if you know what I mean

Everything has its own limit. If you willing to be too nice, always bear in mind you don’t mind letting it go.

Do nice guys always finish last?
Guess it depends on the race you're running, it's not always the same race that your competitor is running.

    Do nice guys exist?
My inner bastard tells me that being a nice guy isn't realistically tenable unless you're constantly nurturing an intrinsic distrust of others.
Bit of an inherent contradiction, perhaps.

Do nice guys play rock n' roll?
    I'm not a nice guy so I wouldn't know.

What. An intrinsic distrust of others niceness. Comparing how nice you to other people's niceness which isn't nice at all. No wait what are you saying, i dont think thats what youre saying but I like it anyway, must think.

Disadvantage, doesn't being nice to everyone sometimes mess with your loyalties. Nice to everyone, loyal to none kind of thing. Like you want your friends to be nice but have your back when needs be. Or be the friend who's nice but when the push comes you're there no matter what and f everything else, right or wrong.

Always nice and never loyal. Or mostly nice and nearly always loyal.

    Agreed.
You can't be nice to everyone all the time.
    That's pie-in-the-sky utopian bullshit.

An intrinsic distrust of others is the safeguard needed to walk the nice guy knife edge.
At least that's the only way I can see it being workable as a modus operandi.
It's healthy and necessary to an individual's survival to have a degree of cynicism and skepticism, especially regarding the motives of those you come in contact with.

It could probably be paraphrased using Lincoln's 'you can't fool some of the turkeys' quip.

But what's the point if you can't play rock n' roll?
