According to one of the links, he was arrested last year (which sounds very odd) and is pleading not guilty, with the preliminary hearing in December and the case itself in January!

Maybe he was or wasn't sold out by the escort in the equation.....

Maybe he was "sold out" by a jealous/rival/offended/possessive individual someway connected to the escort in question
    Odds against you?

its always a bit risky to be someway connected to an escort- how can you be ? are you in fact the pimp and breaching the law yourself or are you the boyfriend or are you another punter - then you too are breaking the law

bit of a can of worms all round

can't wait for the identity parade

i presume everyone has to get an erection

a good defence barrister will interrogate all parties and determine their credibility or lack of it!

So basically punting in Northern Ireland is over...i.e. it's too big a risk; you risk being publicly shamed, potentially losing your career, socially ostracized ect...

...it's completely backward. And it punishes both men and women. I don't know who it actually benefits; perhaps those who want to make sex unavailable for men....and for what reason, to force them to stay in relationships they don't enjoy or marry people they don't want to marry because of the promise of sex?

I know plenty of men who are in good shape with decent jobs but they just can't seem to meet good women, and therefore they go without sex. I also know men who did everything right, wooed a woman and paid for the big wedding... and are now trapped in sexless marriages. For these people, living years without sex takes a toll on their mental health. It takes a toll on my mental health now that it's no longer an option for me.

If someone is willing to provide such a service, it's cruel to prevent them from being able to access it.

The whole thing goes against the right of free association and the right to privacy.
Having the pigz in the bedroom is never a good idea for any state!
The law also covers a promise to provide sexual services in exchange for money/financial gain. So people can be arrested even if money hasn't changed hands yet.

But still, if sex hasn't explicitly been discussed on the phone or by text, then there's nothing to indicate that client was actually planning on having sex with the escort. A client stopped on entering the apartment, or leaving the apartment, could simply be seeking to spend time with the escort.

The main thing here is now once in the apartment its enough to do damage and i'm afraid you will have escorts who will be cooperating with police, that is where it will all unravel for the client i'm afraid as most of these places are shared accommodation and in the eyes of the law, a brothel so that's a crime in itself for the escorts staying there.
I don't want to give more information on it on this forum but just be careful.
This is the case with brothels though. The escorts haven't committed an offence if they are in an apartment by themselves.

Brothel keeping has always been illegal so escorts sharing were always committing an offence here.
It changed so much though for the client as if found in her apartment now he also has committed an offence now.

He was on the premises when it was raided, wrong place at the wrong time and could happen to any of us, I know the place and know a friend of this guy's but what does it matter what happens now as his name has been published as a sex offender both locally and nationally( which was disgraceful) and he is a fairly young guy and was in bits.
    Stupid fucking law
