Default More risks for men who perform oral sex on women!!

FRIDAY, Oct. 20, 2017 (HealthDay News) -- Smoking and oral sex may be a deadly combo that raises a man's risk for head and neck cancer, a new study suggests.

The key factor is transmission of oral strains of the cancer-linked human papillomavirus (HPV), which can be passed through oral sex.

If an escort knowingly has the HPV virus should she still be working as an escort or is it more a case of caveat emptor?

    Who carries the moral duty?

I do both - but never at the same time. That way the lady doesn't get burned and I don't get cancer.

'In fact, men who smoke and have five or more partners with whom they've had oral sex -- in this study, that typically meant cunnilingus -- have the highest risk of developing a type of head and neck cancer known as oropharyngeal cancer.'

HPV is perhaps the most commonly spread sexual infection. It is a fact of life that most people will come into contact with it at some time in their lives. Just about all sexually active people will encounter it at some stage. In most cases these people will clear this virus from their bodies with no ill effects. Only certain strains are problematic, some can cause genital warts, and a couple are implicated in certain cancers, long after initial infection. Again, in these cases, only a minority of infected people will go on to get such cancers.
HPV has been implicated in cervical cancer in women and in penile cancers in men, also anal and oral cancers associated with sexual activity. Condoms will help to reduce but not fully eliminate HPV transmission as it can also spread via skin to skin contact, fingers whatever.
Increased risks for the oral cancer (once one has a long lasting infection of the appropriate strain of HPV) are
(1)the greater the number of oral sex partners, the greater the risk
(2)smoking cigarettes or marijuana increases risk, and the greater the level of smoking, the greater the risk.
(3)people with weak immune systems including those with concomitant HIV.
(4)And a good guess - heavy alcohol use might also increase the risk for the oral cancer.

The good news, most people that pick up HPV, even the dangerous ones do not go on to develop cancer.
It gives people an added incentive to quit smoking, which is doing you other harm anyway.
A vaccine is available to protect against these harmful strains of HPV. Ideally it needs to be given before sexual activity commences. Usually it is given age 11/12 and it is worth giving it to males as well as females. Claims that this is going to increase promiscuity are best regarded as loony, hysterical nonsense. The vaccine may be given up to age 26 or so, especially to those who have not been particularly sexually active. After age 26 it is regarded as being generally pointless to administer the vaccine as it is expected that an individual will have encountered the virus by then.
Also anti-vaccine hysteria is best taken with a pinch of salt. Giving any vaccine to millions of people you will find a few people, here and there, who may attribute, erroneously, some other condition they develop independently, to being an adverse vaccine reaction.
HPV vaccination is accepted as a safe and a valuable tool, when carried out at a high level across the population, to reduce significantly, future HPV related cancers.

Don't have that cigarette after sex anymore.
