Turns out(according to RTE news) that Nevada has some of the most lax gun laws in America.
No limit on the number of guns owned.
No background checks or waiting period to purchase a gun.
Ownership of automatic rifles allowed.
No need to notify any authority, if private citizens sell guns to each other.
Tomorrow's ragtops will be Trumpeting the new record death toll, setting down the challenge for any future would be contenders.
CNN will station a camera crew outside the hotel lobby and cycle ad nauseam through the same few clips 24/7.
Step right up buddy, instant infamy.
All yours for the taking.
Pull the trigger and hear the cameras roar.
I fear it will only be getting worse.

The shooter(Paddock) may have had in the region of 19 weapons in the hotel room. More weapons were found at his home, 90 minutes north of Las Vegas.
