How do you guys discretely find an apartment in a town you are not familiar with? I think a lot of us are pretty obvious punters when we are speaking on the phone to a Lady with poor English.

You only look dodgy if you are feeling guilty and acting furtive. If you are visiting a friend in an apartment it is perfectly natural to call them and say "I'm here, how do I get in?". Of course you don't call while someone is within earshot.

I prefer to call from a quiet spot nearby, rather than at the door, but some girls insist on it, perhaps because there is a camera. If you check for flashing lights on nearby cars first you'll be fine.
