Just wondering how the referencing system works as an escort I am looking to visit asks for references. Do I have to ask escorts I have been with for references or do I just give her some names of escorts I have visited?

Nothing to do with the reference system on E.I in my opinion, asking for a reference, usually means, the client telling the escort, what other ladies he has met, and the lady will usually know what type of guy you are, by the ladies you have met.

Oh ok. Thanks for clearing that up for me. I tried to meet this escort before and she asked for references. I gave her some of the names of escorts I had been with, which she seemed satisfied with but we didn't get to meet in the end anyway due to conflicting schedules. I was only ever asked once to give a reference, gave the lady, a name of a regular escort, and she rang her, to ask about me , no problem after.
