I come from the west of Ireland and was 20 around the start of the 90s, Ireland was The North Korea of sex (especially this area) and it was just starting to creep out of the economic reality that as many people were running out of it (many never to come back) as were doing the leaving certs each year, which was par for the course throughout the 80s! Now that by any standard is the makings of a shytehole and that's not factoring in West of Ireland torrential drizzle and wind!
So my advice would be, once your education is finished, unless you have contacts (which I did not), get the fuck out and go and live in a civilized country!

Honestly?I would say to my 20yo me : Leave the University , u wasting your time and parents money, because without experience and 'connections' u will not find a job in your profession , better go and be an escort . This is the only thing i regret about escorting: that i didnt start earlier and i decided very late to do this job (34 yo)

Perhaps in your country but in the West at any rate, university qualifications, especially in certain disciplines, can still ensure a far higher level of income than otherwise. Qualifications of some sort can always be made use of. Education has been a stepping stone up the ladder for many Irish(who in the past, as a race, were often the hewers of wood and the drawers of water) from often modest enough backgrounds.

I would tell my 20 year self to relax and be happy - get laid more often , that you will make it through another 30 years anyway- oh and of course to put €1,000 on Leicester to win the premiership - although I would probably mess up and get the year wrong
