Darling the thermostat went out as I stated in original post. . It's a 27 year old Ford ranger. But she only has 90,000 miles and cute, clean and easy to work on. By the way you should , only add coolant to the overflow tank not the radiator. You can do this anytime with the engine hot or cold. . Oil , transmission, brake and steering fluids can be added anytime. Anyway, I made it in last night. Georgia always kicks my butt getting thru it... It's disgustingly hot. Did I mention that I miss Eire?

My intentions was to drive straight through. Untill temp gauge kept going up. So here I am enroute from Indiana to Florida (should only take 16 hours) and beyond to my Beloved Ireland.
