Yer man makes a lot of good points there. Very interesting that the face mask is banned in some Muslim countries yet we in the West are afraid of offending anyone by doing the same. We have to be careful here. Only a small fraction of people who are Islamic, have being radicalised.
The above statement could be considered quite offensive to millions of devote muslins that just get on with normal life like you and me. Now I know it wasn't your intention to be offensive, but sometimes you have to resist the urge to say the first thing that pops into your head.

Glad you got something from it. I agree. Hitchens (now deceased) was super-critical of Islam, and the west's pandering to Islam. I dont claim to agree with everything he says, nor do i know everything about Islam, but i like that he asked really thought-provoking questions, and presented them in an eloquent way.

I think the tendency to want to be politically correct the whole time is a real danger to open debate, nowadays. If we want things to improve, we need open communication, and part of that is considering that some muslims want to dominate western civilization. I've had the displeasure of meeting some of these characters and their attitudes and beliefs is disgusting at best, and terrifying at worst. This problem isnt going anywhere. Yes, we need to stand together and fight for peace. But we also shouldnt cower like pussies and pretend like this is all America's fault, or hope that if we hug each other we'll sort this out. There are evil people in the world. They'll use your civility and niceness against you, if you arent careful.

I dont have the answers but WOW, do we live in increasingly fucked up times.
