I'm not going to compare cocks with you but you certainly do not have a monopoly on world experience.

The Islamists have far more in common anyway with the ultraconservatives - the intolerance of other religious views, the blindness to science, the desire to mix church and state, and the propensity to act in ways which seem diametrically opposed to what their religions' founders preached.

Do also try to have a crack off junior cert level comprehension. I have no idea if you or MSG have empathy or not. I'm merely asking what is wrong with being bleeding heart i.e. empathy? You're very quick to create an insult, assign it to my words and take offence. It's a bit snowflakish, innit.

As for MSG, he's happily on ignore now, though I couldn't help notice the sneaky dig at Stephanie. I do wonder about him. I wonder why anyone would be so desperate to be considered "sweet" that they include that in their online name, and yet react so poisonously to any perceived (and usually innocuous) slight. You like that kind of thing?

    ***Content deleted***

What little I did read, was thin on substance. You don’t say anything original or of note that isn't already blindingly obvious to anyone updated on current affairs. Its all posturing. In fact, you’re a master at it. A Doctor of Bolloxology, if you will.

You state: To a liberal like myself, being open-minded is all its about. (Wow, a white knight amongst us mere mortals. You dont get to claim you’re open-minded if you dont actually listen to others views) The problem with that for most conservatives (Im not, but thanks for presuming, please continue) is they are fundamentally unable to distinguish between being disagreed with an being shut down (Take a look in the mirror). In fact, this is a prime example (nope, its an example of pseudo-intellectual babble), when all I've done is respond to a number of posts (aka shit stir) where "liberal" is used as a term of abuse (Again, an incorrect conclusion. It wasn't used as a term of abuse. Perhaps you’re as bad as making distinctions as the conservatives), and I've questioned why. Please try not to get all victimy on me for responding and challenging that (Eh, you just said you feel victimized for how the term “liberal” was being misused. Unlike you, I am truly open-minded and welcome people of differing views.). Nowhere did I say you were not entitled to your view or your right to express it (No, but you were careful to imply it, you naughty snake). But not every opinion is entitled to respect, or to be immune from ridicule. (And again, with the subtle undermining tone, naughty boy).

I could continue dissecting your posts but I know its useless. While I welcome your opinion, the truth is, I couldn't give a lick of shit what you manage to hemorrhage up. Your big words might impress some of the goon platoon here, but not me, or anyone with an ounce of experience in the Middle East (which is what we're meant to be discussing).

I can tell you’ve read an article or two in the Sundo Indo and fancy yourself as a bit of a wordsmith. But your outlook on the world is tragically myopic. I’d love to show you the reality of whats gone on in the Middle East. Or to have the time, and patience, to drop some knowledge and educate your ignorant and naive ass. (Ultra-conservative Islamists! Oh, Captain Obvious, you do make me laugh!).

I took the liberty of reading some of your other posts. You clearly act like you’re on a higher plane of existence than everyone else. But as soon as you’re presented with a shred of evidence that questions your biased BallyGoBackwards view of the world, you’ve a tendency to bury your head in the sand and get snotty. And then you play the victim card when someone tries to respond or engage in a discussion with you. Your head is so far up your own ass you can’t see just how self-righteous and condescending you are. It permeates everything you say. And I bet everything I own that you’ve got that feedback from others offline, too.

Save for this response, I won't waste any more time or energy on you internet plebs.

I dont care whether you deign to respond to my original post, or to block me. And rather than contribute anything ORIGINAL to the thread topic, Im sure you’ve a busy day of posturing and flexing to internet knobs who know no better.

    Ignorance is bliss, innit.

Like I said earlier, and i think this thread is about terrorist attacks in London that then got diverted to free speech well sort of free speech on rules it seems then we got some personal stuff now its just what it is . Personally I would like to thank all those who challenged the insults, lack of respect and the attempts at I am clever. As to the Middle east I have some direct and indirect experience I have v good friends who worked there for years who regularly travel to Bahrain, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and Egypt although there rarely so I get a considerable insight to the region. Sounds like for some it was difficult and it seems feel they have sole rights to a singular perspective. Not even interested in it now if that person was reasonable and not being passive aggressive then personal and insulting then maybe but given the tone there is no chance or any chance of reasoning with them. And not 1 review to date. I suggest he takes a break from here. Got a bit too into the new toys , seen it before. went hard on sweet guy to put a stop to a type of post that SIS would be rather pleased about hopefully he is OK now.

And no one tells me to get back in a box, just go play elsewhere. We really do not need your input I assure you we will all sleep just fine

Back on the thread and I see lot of police raid in London as credit to police force they are trying to track down people who may be involved in terrorism attack as I say maybe they are innocent to proving guilty...
And they also put up barrier on each side of London bridge pedestrian walkway and that a great idea...
And lastly the police officer who attack the terrorist with police baton and got stab in the face is hero as he said he couldn't do any more as credit to him charging in knowing he put his life on the line to saves other...
I am proud to be a Londoner as I would done same thing like try to draw attention away....
And know people in this country would same thing as it human instinct to help some one who life in danger as that why terrorism never win as people will pull together of all nationalities to fight this evil....

Well chaps, its been fun but I don't wanna waste any more time on your verbiage. Time to move back on topic.

The Saudi Arabia football team refused to line up for a minute's silence to remember the victims of the London terror attack today.

    From the Telegraph:
The Saudi Arabian football team were booed by Australian supporters after they failed to properly line up for a minute's silence in honour of the victims of the London Bridge terror attacks.

Saudi Arabia were preparing to play Australia in a World Cup qualifier at the Adelaide Oval when the stadium announcer called for a minute's silence to begin.

The Australia team linked arms in a line on the centre circle while the Saudi Arabia team stood in random formation as the silence began.

This wasn't a random minute of silence, two Aussies died in the London terror attack and this game took place in Australia. The nurse who ran towards the victims of the car accident before being killed was from South Australia and studied in Adelaide where the game was being held. In my opinion, it's basic respect for the away team to participate in this gesture of goodwill. If a legend from a football team died and their club had a minute of silence at their next home game, it'd be scandalous for the away team not to respect it, despite having nothing to do with them.

    Thoughts? Football fans chime in?

In my opinion Saudi Arabia is a detestable state. But, if I play devils advocate for a moment, perhaps the Saudis were against this minute of silence because they felt it was a bit over the top given that there's rarely (if ever) a minutes silence held when theres a bombing in Iraq, Syria, or Iran (who experienced their first major terrorist attack in some time just the other day). Maybe they felt there is way too much onus placed on this attack because westerners are affected while other tragedies and violent deaths take place every other day in the Middle East without much recognition for those killed or maimed by the western media...

In the past, the SA government provided direct support to ISIS, as was proven by both a leaked Hillary Clinton doc, and referred to in a DoD report. Personally, I dont blame the football team at all. I just think SA is run by a bunch of tyrannical assholes. The sooner they run out of petrol, or the world turns to renewable energy the better.
