Yeah sometimes we had to lower ourselves for some to understand.

There were quite a few, smart, witty, intelligent former mods. Even ol' Saul, once you peeled away all that fluffy stuff, was smart enough. I never knew them, back in the day, when they were mods but some of them continued posting in one form or another, here and there, for some time, post their mod careers. A number of them finally petered away, only in the last year or two.
But for every rule, there is an exception, some former mods may not have been too bright, eh Westside?
I love the nightshift, they remind me, when they appear, that there won't be much happening in the wee small hours, and so give me the incentive to catch up on some much needed shuteye.

The night shift is one more manifestation of that general PC culture that also helped bring you that new law (section 4 of the Sexual Offences Bill 2015, was the southern version, I believe) that was exciting you for the last few years.
