Your missing the point the Asylum process is not a temporary working visa program if you allow asylum seekers to work while their application is being processed then it would be wide open to abuse to anyone to arrive in this country knowing that they can legally work once they stick in an asylum application.
If 4000 people turned up here knowing the shit that Asylum seekers have to face in this country whilst they await the outcome of the process how many thousands would come if they could work and earn more money than they ever could at home.
Not to mention the effect that it would have wage rates, and living standards not just for Irish people but also for legitimate immigrants.
I agree West. I don’t doubt that the vast majority do not pay tax as why the hell run the gauntlet of what can happen and then hand over a percentage of it to the government. I wouldn’t. I was only focusing on whatever few do as two escorts of high standing say that some do but whatever about the law anywhere else in relation to paying tax’s I don’t see how an escort here who wanted to be fully above board can both be transparent with the taxman and not compromise herself.
Here is a simple test and was all I was asking,
Can a tax paying escort claim the VAT back on her hotel room charges?
Yes or no?
i have absolutly no idea on this, however if there was a secondary source of income say a modelling shoot that requires the escort to use a hotel to stay then yep i cannot see why they couldnt claim this.
One thing with reagrds to some and Kat does fall into this group,is that it would depend on how much they were making on modelling and porn work etc all of which are legal. These could be legally used as a means of paying tax some of which comes from escort work.
Like the guy that went to buy a wig.The shop owner says to him ,this wig is 99.99 including tax and the guy says dont worry about tax,i use glue.
To tax or not to tax,
Westside.
Just reading the CSO says prices are falling the greatest drop since 1933.
Where are these falling prices ???
I haven't encountered any.
If this is the case another stealth tax announced yesterday.
the fee for the driving test has gone from €39 to €75 thats practically a 100% increase !!!!!
How is that for falling prices.
Though we are not now that strength which in old days moved earth and heaven; that which we are, we are; one equal temper of heroic hearts, made weak by time and fate, but strong in will to strive, to seek, to find, and not to yield.
