    Default Beware the Toxic Bank

The Toxic bank is a great idea ......... FOR THE BANKERS

This idea was first mooted in America by the fuckers who have caused the problem in the first place.

What happens the state buys all the banks bad debts.
The banks are then scott free.
    The developers etc go bankrupt.
The TAXPAYER is left with the shit.

I don't understand how you think America caused YOUR problems: Not one American headed any Irish bank, and not one American sold over-valued property in Ireland, only Irish.

Hopefully a tax levi will be imposed on anyone blaming foreigners for Ireland's current economic difficulties.

that is claimed by ppl who say we have gone the American way ,without even seeing America in a lot of cases.Too much Hollywood on their tvs i reckon.

I stand over what i say in a different thread.Whether we like it or not,we are reliant on the US far more than the EU (the EU as it stands since opening up borders that is).

If the US economy picks up in the morning we will see job increases and better economical performance here.In fact America is so bad right now that its affects the entire globe. Is should start picking up hopefully next year sometime.I think Obama is good and will find a way but it will take time.Hopefully the sooner the better.

America seriously needs to start looking into other energy sources besides oil and no harm to find a way to bring the cost of steel down either.

I'll agree with you that America needs to look to other energy sources, the Braziilans have the right idea with ethnal, and America has enough land to go that way, but America isn't ran by Americans anymore-we've been over-thrown-hopefully we can get our Country back

Century Steel Band You wouldn't happen to know Mark, would you?

Default Not blaiming America for all our ills

    Anita,

I am not blaiming America for all our ills.

However lets face it the problem originated in the States with the sub prime mortage selling and when America sneezes the worls catches a cold.

There are many who believe that the Obama policy of spend spend spend will only saddle your motherland with an enormous foreign debt that will have to be serviced by the next generation of taxpayers.

The Toxic bank is being favoured by the Obama admin, my point is that the guys that suggested this idea are the same wankers ie bankers who fucked up in the first place.

There is a growing feeling that the american policy is
Funding the bankers by the back door and rewarding failure and incompetence.

If you took time to read my original post you would see I have enough critism for the current muppets in charge of the Irish economy.

The could'nt organise an orgy in a brothel. (Sorry girls !! )

The PROBLEM is no one knows what to do. We deregulated things that won't suppose to be deregulated, and as a result no one knows how to get out of this mess/ ''Un-chattered ''ground is an undestatement.

Nations should have never gotten off the 'gold standard'; there wouldn't be a problem if Standard and Poor gave you a bad credit rating, you wouldn't need them, you've got gold. You wouldn't have to worry that your children's future were being cut short-they've got golld

There is no money for peopple to borrow, and where there is, it's the banks-that's why their being funded, because if they're not, than responsiblity falls on Governments-which means that nasty word people don't like-SOCIALISN
