No, never been contacted by them, they didn't take on board any independent escorts feedback or feedback from any sex work organisation about the new law, nor, do they recognise the fact that the majority of independent escorts are educated, work of their own free will, do not have a drink/drug problem or the fact that 'we do not want to be rescued'. Their view of the sex industry is extremely blinkered to say the very least.

Of course they didn't - that would undermine their very existence! how could they then try and justify taking those had outs of tax payers money?

Kinda what i suspected, seems to be sort of a religious dogma kind of a crusade rather
than actually trying to help people that may need it.

If they really wanted to help people, they would've taken on board what the likes of Amnesty International stated, that this law actually further endangers the sex worker & doesn't address the needs of those who need help, the trafficked sex worker or those working against their will. This law brushes these issues under the carpet, so that those working for Ruhama, can give themselves a pat on the back & pretend that they've made constructive progress, which is a far cry from reality.

And as with any criminal investigations, you need contact with people on the inside.
Police and these organisations would have a far better chance of stamping out any trafficking if they worked
with independent and genuine escorts who know the score instead of criminalising them
