It's an argument that is bordering on pedantry and pure semantics. I, like many others on here would read the OP as where has she gone meaning will she be back which is clear by his remark at the end - "would love to visit".
The OP is asking perhaps why isn't she advertising and is the lady coming back. I very much doubt he is interested in her actual whereabouts/location.
