Out of probably hundreds of times I can count on less than the fingers of two hands the times I have been stood up (and these were mostly before I realised the importance of confirming esp if the escort is a bit vague about it. For instance the few days times I have been told to confirm 15 minutes before, I will always steer it to confirming 35 minutes before. And these are nearly all bookings by phone. It very much depends on how you sound on the phone, no humming and hawing etc, and it very much depends on the type of escort you are dealing with.

I was referring to the Pimps mainly. I'd say each town has it's own patch and any independent that strolls into that patch, will get bombarded with fake calls from Pimps. That's not to say there isn't time wasters as well and I'm sure there is double bookers on the other side of the fence, but I personally have not come across them. The double bookers I think is primary an Agency issue. A decent independent will generally not double book.

I've heard the grief ladies get can be even more amplified if they weren't always independent but decided to go it alone once they got a bit of experience.
