But they say that business is slow and dead as if thing don't improve they will be leaving Ireland to work somewhere else...

As Tom right if clients drop in number then the Escorts are going to drop as well...

They are not going to be encouraged to work alone by this law the reverse is likely to happen as may be the case up North. Read the article on Laura Lee on another thread.
In the first few months particularly if there are prosecutions demand will tail off and some escorts will be forced out of business. Medium to long term I see more stability
but not sure if things will be the same as a change in business model may be required to circumvent law. The key thing is that a lot of guys have too much to lose and will be hesitant or may refrain others like you
