Does he hold back and look after his tyres to try to get to the end of the race, or does he put the hammer down and find enough space behind him that he can afford another pit stop.
Usual story with Fernando Alonso. Great drive but now the car has stopped..
Daniel Ricciardo pits for a fresh set of super-softs tyres and he is back out in fifth.
Looks like Lewis Hamilton will have to pit too. Plan B. Tyres will not last to end of the race.
Lewis Hamilton pits from the lead, and he is back out in the lead 5.5 seconds ahead of Kimi Raikkonen in second. Looks sewn-up now.
Kimi Raikkonen pits for fresh tyres so Sebastian Vettel moves to second but he is 7.5 seconds behind Lewis Hamilton.

Lewis Hamilton wins. His sixth win in Shanghai.
Sebastian Vettel is second.
Max Verstappen is third.
