Hotels/landlords attacking escorts who are working perfectly legally as consensual adults independently may be a factor in having this law chucked out!

There are loop holes unfortunately. I won't go into them here, but the law is perfectly happy to manipulate and the small print is not on our side.

Looking at it logically a hotel is less likely to want to get anyone else involved or have anyone prosecuted on their property. They are more likely to want to get the sex worker out before anything happens and do it quickly and quietly. At least that way no one is getting prosecuted, but it is a problem if not able to find somewhere to work from. Anyone who has been pulled out of a hotel should let EI know, so they can let other sex workers know not to go there.

My experience as well. Even if the PSNI/Gards are involved, they do not want negative publicity and they will want you out quietly without any fuss or legal problems.

Easy to get paranoid. I know, just because you are paranoid doesn’t mean they are out to get you but as been mentioned in this thread before, such issues have been there for a long time.
I remember reading on “trip advisor” how two girls (co-workers) had been at a hen-party and when they went to a pub to have a meal they were threatened with being thrown out because they had innocently given each other a girly hug and the manageress accused them of being lesbians. Some pubs, clubs, hotels and the like have weird rules and practises.
Sure, it is good to be discreet, but until there is evidence that this is a new practice I wouldn’t be too concerned yet.
Could well simply be the work of some local busy-body religious zealot phoning up EI, finding out what hotel the local escorts are in and then making calls to the hotel. I know that happened in a certain town long before any bill was passed.
Good and useful to know about these things but bad to panic.
