There was a post on George takei or how ever tis spelt and seeing some people's response was disgusting. Most people were nice, but some people have no respect for sex workers and it's the terrible stigma that goes along with this job.

because they have very limited view over life. I noticed in general people with more education treate escorts with more respect and they are less judgmental then people with litlle or no education. Is difficult to understand this job and the providers from outside ...i have to admit i had different view about sex workers and escorting before to start this job but once entered in this field i realized everything is total different then i thought ..

Mostly just plain ignorance, I think.
A few years ago my image of sex workers was pretty negative, based just on assumptions, and having seen streetwalkers in various places. I would have expected over-done makeup, dodgy hygiene, tasteless clothing, and impersonal "quickie" service. I certainly did not expect to meet anyone who I could have an interesting conversation with.
After some browsing here I realized that I might be wrong, and my experiences here have been exactly the opposite in every way. Very glad that curiosity got the better of me!

There was a lot of talk about 'bubbles' during the US election, with people only communicating with others of the same opinions as them.
For better or worse, E-I is a bubble and the suggestion that sex work will be viewed with anything other than suspicion and hostility by those outside this bubble is hugely optimistic.
Anyway, the general public is mostly wrong about most things most of the time. In this case, they simply don't know what they're missing.
