Thread: new bill criminalising the purchase of sex

This may sound over simplistic and naiive, but I remember back in the late 1970s it was illegal to buy or sell condoms. There was a House in Merrion Square we went to for our protectives. You rang the bell and an anxious looking woman came to the door. "Is it condoms you're after?" she enquired, scanning up and down the street like we were just about to engage in a drug deal. I replied that I was. "Now young man, you know it's both illegal for me to sell and for you to buy these condoms," she explained, furtively continuing to look up and down the street. I said I knew that. Then she glanced up and down the street once more, invited me in and closed the door.

"So, young man, if you give me a "donation" to the value of the condoms, I can "give" you a packet and we won't be breaking any laws," she smiled anxiously. ...And that's how I used to get my noddy-bags.

...So could we conceivably make donations (other than semen/spittle fluid transmissions,) to escorts?

Unfortunately the law covers benefit in kind transactions, even the intention of! Surprised that marriage is still legal under it, technically it might not be!
We are of course constantly being told that in reality not all clients visit for sex, so time and companionship applies there, but of course might be laughed out of the district court, even if true!
The notion that the law can intervene in areas that are blatantly none of its business is obscene!
    Ride them on the beaches!

That's me pipped at (my) post then...so no saying "I fixed her plumbing/bled her radiators/changed a lightbulb" then. The Brits tiptoe/pussyfoot round this area too. A pilot scheme was launched in Holbeck, Leeds, West Yorkshire, U.K. a couple of years ago allowing escorts to work that (semi-industrial) area between the hours of 7-7. They could solicit, screw standing up against the wall or in the car - whatever...ANYTHING AND EVERYTHING but give them a roof over their heads. I suppose the authorities thought the bus shelter would suffice. Not like there's any shortage of derelict buildings in the Leeds/Bradford area. But puritanical as we are they just couldn't go the final step and give the girls a (comfortable and safe) building to work in...cos that would be a brothel - right? The upshot (no pun intended,) of this is needles, condoms, knickers etc lying round the streets and business people there don't like that for obvious reasons. No idea if this programme still exists or, hey - maybe they got a roof over their heads!

I get enough Vanilla sex from my girlfriend but when it comes to the neapolitan-chocolate-chip variety I go to see (the rare) escort offering watersports AND hardsports. So do you think the morality brigade will have to rewrite the statute books to deal with (miserable) offenders like myself? I wasn't "in receipt of" sexual services per se but as a ready 'n' willing toilet-slave I could be found guilty of receiving - (hazardous and toxic substances..) Would that make me a toilet-terrorist then and make me guilty of a catalogue of offences exposing myself to the likes of the health and safety executive? Would the escort need to carry a "Hazmat" sign round her waist and/or "Wash your hands (after) using me?" If SHE goes for checks then wouldn't I also have to be periodically checked for e-coli and a range of other life changing diseases and maladies? I guess when they finally drag me before the beak the words will be, "Hanging is too good for him!" By the way, do you know they've criminalised face-sitting and (women) squirting in videos?

AFAIK THe Leeds Toleration zone is continuing, it would be of no interest to me though!
BTW what of tHe UK banning face sitting and squirting on dvds, is ownership/downloading criminalised?

I don't know. But beware of the Thought Police if you even contemplate such delights. The (backward) direction we appear to be travelling in may well result in everything but conventional penetrative vaginal sex between married heterosexual partners between 7 and 12 p.m. becoming an obscene and therefore prohibited act.

For many years anal sex was illegal in Ireland (and many other countries).
It was difficult to enforce because it would have needed one party to give evidence against the other party involved.
I think the present law is somewhat similar. A “Trophy Law” there to appease some people.

But if a Guard came in when you were having sex and said ' Sir, I see you're an arse man', surely thats evidence enough

If the guard came while saying he was an arse bandit, then I might be sweating.

    Shalom/salaam.
10,000 years of Middle Eastern civilisation and the place is not at peace but rather in pieces.
