The Bill includes wide ranging provisions such as:
1 New criminal offences to protect children against grooming;
2 New measures to protect children from online predators;
3 New & strengthened offences to tackle child pornography;
4 Harassment Orders to protect victims of convicted sex offenders;
5 New provisions to be introduced regarding evidence by victims, particularly children;
6 Addressing a gender anomaly in the laws on incest;
7 New offences addressing public indecency;
8 Maintaining the age of consent to sexual activity at 17 years of age and to provide for a new proximity of age defence; and
9 To criminalise the purchase of sexual services.
The criminalisation of people for purchasing sex is only a tiny part of the bill and only takes up a couple of lines in the document. The Guards will not only be looking at this section, but also the enforcement of all the other aspects of the bill. They are already over stretched on resources, especially since their new pay review. People must remember that the Guards have a lot of other things to do besides sitting outside girls apartments waiting for clients to turn up!
They have feck all to do, know many personally and they are itching to get started
I know they alot worse than the PSNI and look at how many raids there was last year.
So while real criminals were mugging, stealing and killing they were raiding girls apartments, they will follow the easy money and where there is less danger

Are you really trying to tell us the Guards have nothing to do when they report for work? That they are sitting in the station hoping some job turn up for them to do?
How many raids were there last year? Seeing as you know so much how many muggings did they deal with during the same period?
Many valid points have been made throughout this thread (and other similar thread on this website).
I have noticed two things about posts made in this thread (particularly since a certain piece of Legislation was passed)
1. Clients concerned as to what can happen to them if caught "during or after an appointment" (I can understand why persons would be concerned, but read on)
2. Publicizing of "ways not to get caught", "what to do if caught" etc
I relation to point 2, here is some advice.
Please (where possible) refrain form posting such information as to "how not to get caught" etc. As we are all aware it is now illegal to be a Client, and as most members of the E-I Community are well aware, organizations such as Ruhama, TORL etc spend more time on this website than the average client does. With that in mind, if such information is discussed on the public forum it is safe to assume Ruhama, TORL and all will harvest this information (and forward same to the "relevant authorities" ) and use same to maximize effective enforcement of this Legislation. Need we call Sherlock Holmes?
If anyone has "foolproof" ways of circumventing this Legislation, they should only exchange same via the PM system (and only with known, trusted members of the E-I Community [for obvious reasons]).
That's just my opinion.
In the meantime, happy (safe ) visits
Odds against you?

Probably been asked before but with with this new law what is best way to contact an escort without mobile phone records etc coming up or best way to approach things now without some fat lazy guard trying to get money out of me
It's the minister's pet project, so it will be enforced.
According Laura Lee in the radio interview, I posted she has said The Guards have been outrageous even before this new law in their treatment of escorts and she said there have been complaints of rape, robbery and general assaults made against them by sex workers, whereas The PSNI have provided 2 liason officers to work with sex workers to help counteract possible negative consequences of the new law, some contrast!
The Irish Police trend to be quite work shy and have a tendency to chase the easy fines!
Ride them on the beaches!
