At one time just after homosexuality was decimalised it became legal to have anal sex with a man.
But it was still illegal to have anal sex with a woman.

THe SWAI Twitter have said that The Lovely Minister for everybody elses' interior has said that she listened to their concerns about this increasing levels of violence against them and her response was that it will act as a deterrent to those wishing to enter the industry!

In any remotely civilized country a person in her position claiming this would be immediately required to resign, no debates!
Surely it's game set and match now on this bills unconstitutionality - you cannot introduce a law to do harm to ordinary people let alone as that view would suggest see that harm as very much having desirable side effects!

If those SWAI Twitter comments are a true reflection of her attitude, I would actually question the state of her psychological well being. AFAIK she is a social worker by trade and surely somebody with experiencce in that field making such outrageous comments is exponentially worse, if that's even possible in the infinite numerical universe!

Also sometimes new laws when signed by the President don't take immediate effect but rather are activated at some date in the future by ministerial order. For example, July 1st 2017.
In addition, if this law is challenged in the courts as up North it could take some time for a decision to be reached. If such a case was taken on a point of constitutional law or Human rights law,
the DPP may be very reluctant to prosecute cases until the courts have decided upon the matter.
This would have the knock on effect of making the cops think twice before going all out to bust lads.
This very much seems to be the case up North which does not appear to have experienced zealous enforcement of their version of the law perhaps because of the pending High Court challenge.

The Noirdies may have been colluding with their Southern Counterpart equal scum before moving to enfiorce it and it's one explanation why Laura's case has been endlessly delayed so far!
