Thank you very much for your kind words, I only mentioned the '100 raids' in a direct response to a post which mentioned it and I doubt it could be anything like that high given that we only have about 700-800 active EI escorts at any one time.
But successful raids leading to prosecutions are a good PR exercise for the Pigz and can help in their eyes justify their huge salaries and are easily done!

But what are we taking about in terms of "prosecutions"? The legislation states the penalty is a €500 fine. Is this like a speeding fine or a parking ticket, or does it require a court appearance? These are the things that are a little unclear.

A "Class E" fine is UP to €500, it may be less considering ones circumstances. Summary conviction and it's a day in Court.

During their recent threatened illegal strike, The CSO published figures stating the average weekly pay for a pig including overtime and allowances was over €1300, now of course that's right across the force so the likes of Noirin would be on even more savage money than that!
It's obvious that they are on outrageous unjustifiable money!

Brothel raids are easy PR exercises to undertake, e.g. auld wans will be impressed, which will not be much good to them, if they are mugged at knife point for their meagre pension money a few days later, partly due to a lack of police resources being used correctly!

A number of people commenting here about doom and gloom, I notice are genuine punters,they have a few reviews, but many are negative, and from a similar area of the country(maybe it's their overall mindset or maybe smaller towns-for various reasons don't get the creme de la creme of escorts, these small towns, a 'raid' is going to be a big issue, yet it seems as if they are speaking for the whole country.
