Because politicans are looking for the votes of the the narrow-minded majority. Isn't democracy wonderful?

On top of the misfortune of having a disability the Irish government will also brand a disabled person, who naturally needs sex in their life, with a criminal record.

Unless the new bill excludes all with a disability of some particular form(s) from the Sex Offences Bill.
That would not work, it would still be considered a crime and how do you define disabled as would be opening up another can of worms that the Government don't need.
A disabled person would be considered the same,

because punters want to remain discreet for obvious reasons and you wouldn't score any goals from the sidelines

The minister is likely to have this rushed through the Senate in a single evening next week before she high tails it off to a UN conference in Geneva on Women's Rights as a great victor!
Ironic isn't it, that she will just have got a bill that will destroy sex workers livelihoods and possibly lives, the vast majority of whom are women!
    Ride them on the beaches!

Yes he does, but that midget parasite won't drag his heels unless another dictator drops dead and he feels he must compose a speech of mourning on our behalf.
Couple of weeks maybe would be my guess.
