There was a blitz on the massage parlour scene in the mid 90s and ultimately they were all closed in Dublin, including one which had been operating seemingly as a female sex workers' co-op for over 20 years close to The Irish Film Centre!

See the thing about that is as i understand it is gay marriage had a Hell of a lot of support from all different walks of life so they had to give in.
Sex Workers i think do not have the same public support so that is the 1st hurdle.
